All of the plaster, the metal the wood

Changes the face, just the way it should

The beautiful faces forever stuck

The happy the sad, and the terror struck

Oh the Masquerade ball

How in the the end we crawl

On our hands and knees

picking up pieces we never need

The wonderful feather, the bright gems

the starched fabric, the silver hem

the pitiful faces sewn behind

always stuck but never kind

So now we dance, all through the night

With the bear and the wolf, who always bites

The jolly jester so light on his feet

A rather hard character, to stop by and meet

And when the clock chimes, and we bid the adieu

The one lonely soul, still searching for you

Hidden in the shadows but never lost

You dance for him, at whatever the cost
