The Process

Poem by: Tesseth

Summary

Just as the snake sheds its skin...we shed ourselves of useless personality traits, habits, people,... we keep growing & changing.

Just as the snake sheds its skin
We shed parts of our selves
Purging impurities
Creating something else

Stretching and scraping
To be rid of what's dead
Releasing the old
For what's new instead

Fighting for release
From the useless waste
Shedding the excess
Ridding that which we hate

The process may end
But is never really complete
The progress continues
For as long as we breathe.
