A poem based upon a cardinal sin.

Rampaging, the fire burns in your veins,

boiling the blood with a raging heat.

The wicked venom- it spews out and stains,

discoloring  the world that it greets.

All encompassing, overpowering

is the hell that is raining down at night.

The opaque sky continues darkening,

yet the flames lick and lap at such a sight.

In these flames the Devil begins to dance,

tapping out the rhythm of your heart beat.

His laughter begs you to take this last chance,

for his conquest may become complete.

You drown in the fire you set alight,

letting the devil steal your soul tonight.
