T.S. Elliot's last word was "Valerie", his wife's name. The actor Michael Landon's last words were "You're right. It's time. I love you all.", he told this to his family. “Snooks, will you please turn this way. I like to look at your face.” It's what the reporter O.O. McIntyre said to his wife before dying, they were the last thing he ever said.

I didn't have a family, no parents, no siblings, no children, no wife. I wanted my last words to be “I’m happy.” because I was, you know? Regardless of all difficulties of life, I was happy. But if life isn’t fair, then why should death be? So it didn’t happen as I wanted it to. Oh, no. It happened completely differently. I was standing in my best friend’s porch and I was telling him a dirty joke I had heard earlier. I was talking about dicks when it happened. A heart attack, that’s right. Some say it’s the best death someone could ask for. I say it’s unfair. It doesn’t give you time to process it, it just happens. Your heart stops and that’s it. No good planned last words, no goodbyes, just whatever it is you were doing at that moment, in my case, telling a dick joke. What an irony.
