I found myself staring into the darkness, well, not absolute darkness anyway. I can still see partially illuminated spaces all around me and the more I look, the more I realize that I was no longer on my way home. In fact, I'm not even on the road anymore.

I was standing on a path, very similar to the ones I saw earlier and it was crazy to think that I would actually consider that I might've took a wrong turn at some point but come on! It was a straight line! How in the world could I have taken a wrong turn on an open road!

But there I was, standing all alone, inside the jungle, with nothing to defend myself with. I looked around again and noticed that the crude path behind me might just take me back to the main road, assuming I'm still anywhere near there, but just as I was about to make my move...

I can't really explain it, but it almost sounds like a light being turned on, like the one you would hear on stage. That was when I saw a "spotlight" right in front of me, shining its light on a hunching dark figure.

"Do not leave just yet, the show is about to begin!" said a coarse voice.

I was unable to make out any details of the figure at that time but the voiced sounded old. I decided not to move just yet.

"Ladies and gentleman! This show is going to be lit! May I present to you, Pyr-O-Mania!"

And just like that, the "spotlight" moved to another space, highlighting another character. Weird thing was, I don't think that "thing" needed the light.

The humanoid figure was literally engulfed in flames, flailing its arms in the air like it was dancing or most likely in pain, circling around while letting out this awful screaming.

"Yes, yes! The roof is indeed on fire! We don't need no water! Let him burn!"

The screaming continues, the flaming figure running even faster in circles like there was no end to it until at some point, the "spotlight" returns back to the dark figure.

"Are you entertained yet? I can't hear you..."

It was uncanny how he was anticipating a reaction from me after witnessing that horrible display.

"Oh, well, horses for courses...but up next...fret not for we have...the mysterious and illusive...Lady Luck!"

The “spotlight” once again moved to another location where a woman with long beautiful curly blonde hair and in a white dress was sitting near a golden harp. She was soaking wet from head to toe while playing a melody on the strings.

"Well, that looks kinda normal...and wet for no reason..."

The music, however, was mesmerizing, soothing like a lullaby. I find myself wanting to move towards her but before I got any closer, she turned towards me and smiled.

"And Lady Luck just smiles on you!"

I didn't know what that exactly means but right that moment, a huge anvil suddenly falls on her head from out of nowhere. Her head exploded and her flesh splattered everywhere, on the ground and on the harp which was now painted in her blood.

"And she just runs out of luck herself! Isn't that amazing!"

"Do this guy really think I should give an applause or something?"

The dark figure almost revealed itself but seeing that I was yet to give any positive reaction.

"Ah, what the heck, perhaps third time’s a charm. For our final performance, may I present to you...."

[Drum rolls sound]

"Where is that coming from?"

"Presenting..."

[Drum rolls sound]

"Oh, for heaven sake.."

"The notorious...the astounding...the amazing...the ever so wonderful..."

Ok, that's it, I'm leaving.

"The everlasting..."

The drum rolls reached it climax and with the last sound of its pounding, the whole place suddenly went completely dark.
