The Elegant Monster
“The elegant monster danced with delight.
Elegant though he was, on the surface he was still a monster.
No one could see his elegance. Only the fact that he was a monster. But HE knew deep down he was elegant and not just a monster. One day thinking he was alone he sat under a willow tree and cried. Cried with all his being, because it was this being was who he truly was and if only everyone saw this, they would see he wasn't a monster. They would see he was an elegant monster. And just when he decided he would never dance with delight ever again, a lone butterfly landed on his cheek and kissed him, the willow branch brushed his tears away, and the wind whispered in his ear, “Be strong. You and I know you're an elegant monster and not just a regular monster. And that's all that matters.
And since then the elegant monster for the rest of his days continued to hide in plain sight. But always, always, always...
Danced with delight.
“Motto: Trust in yourself. Be who you are. But don't just be who you are. Do it well. And do it with joy.”
