I often dream a world, a better world than this one, filled with love and beauty, free from the tyranny and injustice, where everyone would live happily. This is a humble expression of that dream of mine.

The world I never saw

Beyond the empty meadows and forests and glens,
Beyond the world of temporal losses and gains,
I dreamed a fabled world, free from earthly pains,
And deceived by its essense, losing my sense

I threw my stare, beyond the reaches of death,
And yet not gave up, blaming none but fate
When it returned, reflected from an empty slate,
To the world, my home, a world of despair and hate.

Will they not hear my calls from a tormented earth?
That emerge from the depths of my humble heart,
And travel along the mysteries of the unknown path,
The path of sorrows, the path to death from birth.

Or is that just a myth, death being my very last?
A pain unbearable, a soul's faith turned to dust,
My hope a shadow, haunted by memories of the past,
After a journey of pain, a reward so unjust?

No answers ever come, blood drips from my dream,
Of a world pure and holy, a world of light and gleam,
As the unceasing flow, of life, a dying light beam
Moves towards its end, carried by time's linear stream.
