First Love never Dies

By D W Phoenix

Where the winding babbling brook flows into the stream

The fallen leaves get carried to a distant dream

There’s a sweet aroma drifting on the breeze

As apple blossom tumbles gently from the trees

And all the branches on that willow tree

Seem to bow in homage to you and me

There’s still a sparkle in both of our eyes

Memories of your first love never dies

Apple blossom, weeping willow

Love letters on the pillow

Red rose in a diary book

A signed photo some one took

And memories become souvenirs

When still in love all those years

There’s still a sparkle in each others eyes

Because memories of your first love never dies

Guess over the years a lot of water has flowed

But our love for one and other has never slowed

On the tree you carved our names deep inside a heart

I knew I’d love you till time itself fell apart

The apple blossom well its still falling

As the summer breeze still keep on calling

Love still burns hot as the sun in the sky

Memories of your first love never dies

Apple blossom, weeping willow

Love letters on the pillow

Red rose in a diary book

A signed photo some one took

And memories become souvenirs

When still in love all those years

There’s still a sparkle in each others eyes

Because memories of your first love never dies
