I said no

By The Gospel of the Holy Quill

My body felt invaded

Dirty and degraded

And anger soon replaced

The shame that I faced

I swore that I’d make him pay

For what he had done this day

Now the memory of my pain

Is burned deep into my brain

I said no

But no was not the answer

That he wanted to hear

I said no

As his hands reached out to grab me

Then he pulled me near

I said no

As he forced himself upon me

But never had a word to say

I said no

As he finished with no remorse

He just smiled as he slowly walked away

I said no

I said no

I said don’t do it

But he ignored all my cries

I said no

I said no

But he went ahead and did what he wanted to

And so for what he had done

I went and got a gun

Soon I had tracked him down

To a bar in the town

Where low life all hang out

I surprised him with a shout

Stuck my gun into his back

Took him down a lonely dirty track

He said no

But his shouts I never heard

No not a single word

He said no

I pointed the gun at him

Saw his sweat upon his skin

He said no

Perhaps he might now realise

All the pain in my eyes

He said no

As I put the gun to his head

And I calmly whispered bang you are dead

He said no

He said no

He said no don’t do it

But I ignored all his cries

He said no

He said no

But I went ahead and did what I wanted to
