Walls of stone blurring as two people run by them, a boy and a girl. Hand-in-hand, tirelessly passing one hallway into another. Seldom they see bared windows as if taunting them of their caged existence. After going through a passage leading to a dead end, the girl looks worryingly into  the boy’s eyes to witch he just responds’ with a smile. As they run back they notice a man with a robe and a black cowl and covering his head. The boy quickly makes a sign at the girl so she keeps quiet. Both of them silently get past him and as they turn at the corner of the corridor the girl trips. The hooded man quickly looks their way and shouts in a language foreign to them. After he finished shouting the man took out a knife from inside his robe and hurriedly walked towards the boy and girl. The girls eyes started to tear up as the man approached, but the boy took her hand and held it tight. Both of them started running away. As they ran farther and farther the boy looked back and saw the man from before with ten similarly dressed men. Soon the boy and the girl reached a dead end overlooking a chasm with a raging river running through it. As the boy looks at the gorge the girl squeezes his hand and starts shaking.  The men were approaching. The hooded men started shouting in their strange language and waving knives, swords and any other manner of sharp objects. One of the men came forward and swung his knife in an attempt to slash the girl but the boy quickly pulled her away and got hit instead. Blood started dripping from the blade. The boy clenched his hand on the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Seeing the success of their comrade the other men started advancing against the boy and girl. Panting and grunting the boy starts backing away but he was bleeding heavily and barely made progress. The girl, shaking and crying, musters up her courage and pulls the boy close to the edge of the chasm. They both smile to each other and jump. The men hurried to see what their fate was but only saw the raging waves of the river hitting the chasm walls.

Year’s later rumors circulated amongst the common folk about a mute couple and their child living on the outskirts of a long abandoned labyrinth. Many say that the couple came out one day, with the man heavily wounded, from there but no one is sure if it is true.
