The poor man awoke feeling dizzy and off balance, seeing nothing but dense fog and disturbing darkness. He struggled to stand as his body was feeling weak, barley being able to move. The ground was freezing but he wasn’t able to tell what he was on. All he knew was the ground was ice cold, grainy, and hard. He attempted to look around hoping his eyes had adjusted to the darkness but still could see nothing but dense fog. He began to crawl to try to see if he could find where he is, but still all he could feel was cold, hard, ground. With his hands in front of him feeling the ground he kept trying to move forward. As he crawled more he heard creepy sounds coming from in front of him. He stopped, trying to listen to see if he heard more. In the distance he could hear the slight moan of something, and it was moving closer. Scared, the man tried his hardest to stand and move away but he still had no strength to stand. Suddenly, the shook violently, like something huge has stepped on the ground. The man became even more fearful of his surroundings and began to push himself backwards as quickly as possible. Then, a blast in front of the man’s face, as hard rocks began flying through the air and hitting his body. The blast tossing him in the air throwing him back 15 yards hitting the ground hard. Trying to cover his face from the rocks he gathered the strength to look up as he felt the blast of heat wind slamming across his body. He looked up and had seen the flames blasting in to the air from the ground. The heat was becoming unbearable as the strength of the flames flew higher. Then, the ground started shaking more, like an earthquake had hit the whole area. More flames shot through the air as the man looked harder in to the fire as he began to see two bright lights, like strong flashlights shining through the flames. A look of complete shock filled the man’s face as the flames began to die down.

A massive creature stood in front of him, eyes fire red, massive arms that look like busses had been tied to them, a massive body that bullets could bounce off of, and horns sat on the top of his head so sharp that it could tear through metal. He stared down at the man breathing heavily as smoke left his nose through every exhale. The man was on the ground shaking with fear, “you,” he said with his voice cracking and trembling with fear, “the devil.” The devil stood tall as his glowing red body had flames rising from it. “You are the man they speak of,” the devil said in his dark, deep voice, smiling the entire time, “the man that is un-killable, so strong, and so fearless.” He began to laugh looking at the man cowering on the ground. “You are nothing but a weak man who will face a fate worse then death when I am through with you.” The man was still very weak, why he didn’t know, but he knew what type of man he was and that he had given his life to protect others. He used every ounce of strength in his body and stood to his feet. Weak, he looked up and stared the devil right in his eyes. “I am a solider I God, I will not back down to you!” the man shouted! The devil laughed, “Your bravery is very convincing, but it is pointless. You cannot face me but I am a fair man and I will offer you a deal.” The devil pointed his hand towards the air as fire blasted through his hand and towards the sky. The sky lit up bright red, surrounding the whole area. The man began to turn around and noticed a large, black, metal bridge. The lake beneath it was black with fog an steam coming from it. The bridge was so long that no matter how much the sky lite up you couldn’t see the other side. “This,” the devil began to speak again, “this is the dark bridge. This bridge is the passageway to the depths of hell. Those who die must cross the bridge to continue the journey to the beyond. Despite the belief of those on earth all must cross this bridge no matter how the life has been lived. This bridge is designed to kill and drag you to hell where u will forever burn for eternity, but if you happen to make it to the other side then you can say you have survived hell….for now.” As he spoke his final words the devil busted into flames and disappeared. The darkness returned and he fog began to sit in as the man began to gather his strength to walk.

He walked slowly and carefully towards the bridge, the bridge cracked and creaked like it was about to fall apart. He walked slowly onto the bridge as he tried to be brave and not let his fear get the best of him. He turned back and looked as the ground behind him faded away into nothing telling me that turning back was not an option. The bridge gave a feeling of hopelessness to the man as the more he moved the more fear that filled him. He continued to walk as he seemed to just be walking forever with nothing happening excepting hearing the sounds of the bridge and the water beneath it. But he knew he could only go forward as with every step the bridge behind him would disappear, he believed if he stopped the bridge would disappear beneath him. A strange wind suddenly began to blow against him. The man also began to hear a strange flapping sound like wings of a bird flying. He stopped but as he feared the bridge still disappeared whether he moved forward or not. He walked slowly as the wind grew stronger beginning to push him back and the strange flapping grew even louder. The man was pushing his weak body against the wind that grew stronger with every step he took. Finally, the man could see the end of the bridge even though the wind continued to push harder in his face. He tried to run to get off the bridge and move on, suddenly, fire shot into the air on both sides of him combining in the middle connecting making a ball of fire that grew larger and larger. The ball then blew open as a giant bird made entirely of fire appeared before him.

“A phoenix!” the man said. The phoenix bolted towards him as the man dived to the ground as the fire bird flew right past him. The man ran towards the end of the bridge, desperately trying to get off of it. The phoenix dived from above knocking the man down to the ground as it flew off again. The man’s strength was gone, he couldn’t stand anymore. The phoenix return behind him and gripped the man in his claws, no matter how much the man fought he could not release the birds grip. The phoenix lifted the man in to the air and the bridge began to fall in to the black lake. Fire rose from the lake as it created a hole that lead to darkness. The fire circled the man as he was held in the air by the phoenix. The man finally closed his eyes and said, “I have been prepared to die for anything and everything, and I am prepared to die now. You can’t hurt me! Do you hear me?! You can’t hurt me you son of a bitch!” He reached his hands up and gripped the phoenixes claws, the fire burning his flesh off. He pulled as hard as he could and the burning claws and finally yanked them off as the fire disappeared and released the man. The man fell into the fire of hell as the fire surrounded his body pulling him down into the darkness.
