I was once going down a long dark road, just walking and clearing my head. The air was bitter cold and the wind was slicing at my body. Eventually, I came up to a dark tunnel with just a small amount of light coming from inside. I was unsure of what this tunnel had in store for me so I was cautious about entering the tunnel. The tiny glimpse of light began to move, I feared it was a car of some sort of vehicle but the light was too small. As I looked harder down the tunnel it began to become clearer that it was a pair of eyes moving towards me. At first I was very nervous as the eyes began to walk towards me. I backed up just a bit as the eyes walked out the tunnel. It was a girl, with darkish blond hair, white as a ghost, her hands were shaking, and her legs were twitching as if she was freezing. She had on all black from her head to her toes; with the saddest look on her face that would make depressing commercials even cry. I became sympathetic and walked towards the girl and asked if she was okay. As her light brown eyes met mine a feeling came across me that this girl wouldn’t hurt me. She looked down with no response and became to walk back in to the tunnel. As she turned her back to me I concernedly cried out “wait!” She stopped momentarily but didn’t turn around. As I waited for her to respond to me or to turn around so I could see her eyes again. On the inside I couldn’t help but feel like she was scared to be around me, not knowing who I was or my true intentions. I slowly walked up to her cautiously and nervously and said in the softest tone of voice “don’t be scared, I won’t hurt you, I am only here to help.” She turned slowly to look at me, still with the same cautious and scared look on her face. “There’s nothing to be scared of, I promise I won’t hurt you.” She continued to look at me but now with more of a nervous look but I could still see the fear in her eyes as I stood there looking at her. I stood in front of her and slowly pushed my hand out to her, “take my hand” I said to her, “and I will show you something you have never seen before.” At first she just stared at me then looked down at my hand that was waiting for her. She began to reach out her hand slowly and very cautiously. I waited patiently to make sure I did not push or scare her off in anyway. I just waited till she was ready to trust me and take my hand. When she finally did I could see the spark in her eyes as she began to smile. In that moment that dark cold night didn’t seem all that cold anymore. It was like touching the hand of an angel, as her eyes lit up and her smile began to brighten the sky. She let go slowly as if she was feeling the same thing. She began to turn back and walk in to the tunnel slowly but swiftly. As she got to the edge she stops and looked to the sky as dawn was just breaking over the horizon. I watched very curiously to see what she would do and decided that I would begin to walk towards her. Right as I began to walk the sun had just broken the horizon, I approached her and took her hands as she turned and looked at me again. All of a sudden a strange wind came from out of nowhere. The light from the sun began to become brighter to the point that I couldn’t see as a strange cloud of fog rose from the ground. The fog began to twist around the girl but I never let go of her hands. In a matter of seconds the fog surrounded her, I could no longer see her but I could still feel her hands with mine. The wind became stronger and lifted her into the air as if she was rising to the heavens. I was forced to let go and step back to see what was happening. The fog twisted around her like a snake, and the winds mad it look like the world’s smallest tornado. I stood cautiously and shielded my eyes; I could do nothing but watch and wait to see what happened. Suddenly, the cloud of fog busted and the winds were so strong from it that it knocked me backwards and took the air straight out of my lungs. After the winds calmed down I attempted to rise to my feet still very dazed from the blast. My eyes were a blur as I rose up not being able to see clearly but after a few seconds my eyes began to clear as I looked up and stared at the girl. I was in total disbelief as I stood to my feet and began to stumble back to the girl. She was still suspended in the air but was entirely different. I stood looking up as I seen this beautiful angel before me. She was smiling, floating in an all-white dress that was flowing in the breeze ever so softly, her hair was flowing and shinning from the suns light, and her eyes stared at me like they were looking through to my soul and pushing the light of the entire world in to me. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life and the moment I knew that God had truly blessed me. She began to descend to the ground and as she landed she took my hands. I knew at that moment that I was truly blessed to have found this person in my life. God had proven to me that I was destined to take this walk, to meet this girl, and for her to change my whole perspective on life. She continued to smile as I said nothing, I had no words for the moment but wanted to tell her everything I was feeling but I stood silent. She let go of my hands still keeping the same smile on her face and turned back towards the tunnel. I watched her as she walked to the edge and stopped again. All of a sudden she changed in front of my eyes, back to her dark clothing and the sad and depressing person that I first met. I shook my hand in disbelief thinking I was crazy, but the she began to turn around. She looked over her shoulder still with the smile on her face and then walked back in to the dark tunnel. I stood smiling and began to understand everything that was happening. I put my hands in my pockets and turned away from the tunnel and began my walk back home.
