Ibadan

Beauty beyond compare,
Spread among gentle hillocks,
That undulate with passion,
Akin to that sensual sway,
That marks osun's backside.
Oh! Your climate becomes,
Like a maidens caress.

Ibadan
Peopled solely by beings
Who flow with the tide of time,
Gently do they savor its taste,
With pleasure unsurpassed,
Caring not if it's speed crawls.

Ibadan
Sango's curse be on he,
Who breaks the harmony,
Your serene beauty bestows,
On your sublime subjects.

Ibadan
Jewel of the rainforest,
The ancient creators dearest,
You are bead around the river goddess bosom,
May your peace hold.

For eternity be the light

On odua’s path.
