Cast away in lonesome climes

Seeking warmth to check shivering cold

Not yet a month painfully past

When time and distance became a gorge

That tasks the will of an ailing journey man

Already I fall, into vivid dreams of you

Night after night drawn unwillingly into

Their enchanting deceptions

Knowing them in their true guise,

Stops not my subconscious wishes.

Reality is cloaked in illusive visions

Towards which my outstretched hands

Grasps in heart wrenching futility

Aaaah! My heart! Now you fraught

Like a sea of churning torment

When clearly I can’t run back

Like an untamed dog to vomit

As second’s tock expands the gorge

Stop awhile, please to lay a bridge

Back to when there was a pact

That I can’t go on is more the fact

So let’s together heal wounds past

For when more dawn’s crow

Our worlds would be set apart
