I was just a toddler when the fight started
Mom yelled at him for being so retarded
How could he do that, we were his kids
She didn't like what said or what he did
He was nothing but a drunk, was a waste of time
And what he did was just a horrible crime
I was the door hearing all and couldn't believe
What he did made mom feel like she was deceived
You told me you love us and everything would be alright
But you and mom always faught, every single night
Low cut hair, unshaven for a few days
Beer bottles around the house everyday
He went to job and supported a family
But what next destroyed my sister and me

Father I love you what you taught me
Don't drink, cause you'll cause pain and suffering
How to be a man and to stick up for youself
Move on no what mater your money of health
You made me who I am and thank you for it
I frogive what you done, that I admit

You left your daughter and me alone in the truck
You getting drunk as hell not even giving a F**k
Laid outside of the baseball game passed out
Mom called the cops, something you didn't know about
You diviorced and left your children a single mom
What you've done has built me like a timebomb
You call me and you ask for my forgiveness
I forgive you and don't love you any less
What you did taught me was enough to push me along
Thank you father, you were the one who made me strong
Showed me how cruel the world is and how to make amends
And to keep love in your heart, no matter how it bends
I promise you this I'll be back to repay the debt
As I move on in life walking in the Indaina sunset

Father I love you what you taught me
Don't drink, cause you'll cause pain and suffering
How to be a man and to stick up for youself
Move on no what mater your money of health
You made me who I am and thank you for it
I frogive what you done, that I admit
