A bit depressing, I know. Sorry about that. DO NOT COMMIT SUICIDE!

Blood flowing down like the black hair on her head

Tears falling on the grass like rain

Bruised cheek; cut hands; ripped jeans; torn shirt

But there was the only thing to do to pay her way

She always had a smile carved on her face

Though she had a secret that she had to hide

She told no one; just kept it to herself;

And kept it deep inside.

But year after year after year went by

It became too much and she started to cry

Behind locked bathroom doors with her head in her hands

She prayed for an escape. She prayed to die.

It didn’t take long for the truth began to leak

People saw the red marks on the base of her neck

They began to talk and word got out

No surprise that her life got wrecked.

She got into fights and had to leave her school

Some say her parents knew but they didn’t want to hear.

Their baby girl selling herself to dangerous men

Is truly the thing that all parents fear.

Overcome, one night she climbed the old oak tree,

With 3 yards of rope in her hand.

She tied the noose and slipped it around her neck.

She fell towards the ground but she didn’t land.
