I fell in love with him, yes

but time, the devil it is, destroied the love

Passionate  kisses that fell on my lips

grow as cold as the ice winter brings

Time, the devil it is, won't let me leave

my bags at the door step of change

I try walking through the threshold

that sings songs of the kinder days that are to come

The sweet melodies draw me closer

also taunt me. But one day will come when

i will throw thoes bags away with tears

in my eyes and cross that threshold with

the smile that one was mine.

I will smell the lovely air that is

relief and feel my smile stay for awhile

Hope will run through my heart and send

my thoughts racing
