An introductory poem for a short story.

Santa is coming, but now don't you worry.

The countdown has started, so how about a story?
A telling of a tale, that happened one time,
In a land by the mountains, covered with pine.
A lesson, a loss, a miracle....a shock!
Will post each night, starting tomorrow at 10 o'clock,
So grab a cold drink, or maybe some tea
Don't be late....won't you join me?
12 days of a Christmas story, so sweet and so true,
I guarantee it will interest, at least most of you..
Deanna and Lyndsey, and those cousins of mine
Gather round ye all, while the weather is fine,
For soon we'll be marching through snow that's knee deep,
In a secret valley, so don't say a peep,
A valley that's buried in a sad Christmas past,
I hear the wind whistling, here comes the snow blast....
