oh so why would you say to me

words that would bring back memories

from the one i never wanted to be

when were in our own groups of threes

though I'm all alone you’ll get to see

a boy hiding in the tops of trees

mind cluttered with a world of things

he never wants to see the light

but simple sound can be what brings

struggle and a conscious fight

beat it down before the keeper sings

never again to stay the night

past addiction is just one way to say

what i had forced upon my self then, and

quickly came to need from day to day

stomach sick hands shaking when I stand

i’d be lying if I thought this the only way

a non-unique singer in some unexistent band

all of the times flash by so fast

even though they were so long ago

my mind branded in the times past

almost like it wants me to always know

of when I was its captive tied to the mast

hoping to always have me within a stones throw

where to start was never an issue

no one is around so let it begin

a timely process wouldn't always ensue

taking mere moments to sink in

wiping away all evidence with a tissue

over time wearing my sanity thin
