Nobody remembers what it was like before. There were legends told, but like a game of Chinese whispers, legends change. And this was no different.

Nobody remembers what we lived like before the gods bought their wrath down on every living man, woman and child. Some say that when it happened it was a punishment, the real biblical apocalypse meaning our existence is redemption. Others are bent on it being a mistake. That in a war among themselves, the gods bought it to us without realising. The fact of the matter is, its done. We are here. The gods come and go. And we are alive. That, we should be grateful for.

At least, so I am told.
