She sits at the window
Watching the world fade
Her heart is breaking as the tears roll down her face
No one knows how to help her
She finds it’s getting hard to sleep
She closes her eyes for a little peace
The images of what she lost pass through her mind and she swears she’s going insane
*Oh
What a not so perfect way
To end such a perfect day
She thought she had it all worked out
Just to find out
She
Had some strings to cut
Had some words to run
Through her mouth
That changed the way they saw her face*
Now she sits on the hillside
Reliving the memories
Alone
No one to be with her now
She knows that it’s wrong
But she can’t help but to smile
She looks at the names carved into her skin
Does anyone care?
Did anyone care?
*Oh
What a not so perfect way
To end such a perfect day
She thought she had it all worked out
Just to find out
She
Had some strings to cut
Had some words to run
Through her mouth
That changed the way they saw her face*
Her tear stained cheeks are getting weak
She doesn’t know how much longer
She can go on
But she still
Can smile that fake smile
Make everything seem okay
Even if it’s just for the day
*Oh
What a not so perfect way
To end such a perfect day
She thought she had it all worked out
Just to find out
She
Had some strings to cut
Had some words to run
Through her mouth
That changed the way they saw her face*
She admires the way
They never found out
Found out about the memories eating her alive
She wishes
Wishes with all her might
That she could forget those nights
Those nights burned into her mind
Battered and bruised
No clue what to do
Her tears staining her cheeks make it hard to speak
*Oh
What a not so perfect way
To end such a perfect day
She thought she had it all worked out
Just to find out
She
Had some strings to cut
Had some words to run
Through her mouth
That changed the way they saw her face*
Reliving the memories
That she’d rather forget
Oh
What a not so perfect way
To end the perfect day
She thought she could run away
But they came after like a Russian roulette
The last to survive will win
The last to survive will win
But be alone
But did she truly win?
No
Because know she lives alone with her memories
