How can I pretend?

How can I pretend that everything is alright?

my friends don't se

No one does.

The tears stream down my face so fast

That no one can see them.

My fake smile is in place

It hasn't slipped yet

But I don't know how much more I can take.

I'm only one voice

One voice mixed in with a million others

One melody

Does my melody stand out from the rest?
Am I important?

I just need one person to tell me I mean something

One person.

Is that too much to ask?

It could save my life.

I, Cera Zoe, have hidden my soft side for as long as I can remember

Always being the tough girl

Smart mouth and quick wit.

But what if I slipped, just for a day?

How would people react?

Would they even notice?

Of course not.

I'm not fucking important

Not to anyone
