She never lifts her head

Not even for a moment

He never lifts his sleeves

Not even for a second

They are the outcasts

The ones that don't belong

The ones who's parents ignore them

They are the outcasts

The ones who stand out

For trying to blend into the darkness.

She walks with her head down

Afraid of what she'll see if she lets the outer world in.

He wears his scars with shame

Afraid of the judgment he would get.

'Cutter' and 'Loner'

The labels that define them

But do labels really define anyone?

Labels don't suffice

Not in their minds.

They are the outcasts

The ones who are claimed to not belong

Little do they know, they belong with us.

The people just like them.

We are the outcasts,

The ones society has stripped of security

And tossed to the side without a second glance.

We are the outcasts

And we are proud of who we are.
