The horizon looked a lot closer then it probably was. The three men stood staring into the distance as the wind picked up and the sun dropped low. One of the men moved a little away from the others. He pulled out a 36. special and pointed it at his own head. There was a sweet smell in the air as the man pulled the trigger. His brain exploded out the back of his head. He hit the ground as the other two looked over. There was no emotion on there faces as they watched his lifeless body pour blood over the soil turning it red. They both looked back at the horizon.

Coming up the road was Officer Purdy. He was just starting his shift and expected very little to happen tonight. Oh how he was wrong. As he passed the two men standing, he just noticed the man on the ground in a pool of blood. His adrenaline started to pump as he turned his lights on and stopped the car. The two men didn't even turn around to see what was going on, they just didn't care. Purdy got out of the cruiser and left his door open.
"What the hell is going on here?" He asked the two men.
They didn't respond. Purdy walked over to the man on the ground. He bent down next to him and checked his pulse. He was definitely dead. Purdy stood back up and took out his hand cuffs.
"Okay you two." He said. "Put your hands behind your back. No ones going anywhere."
One of the two turned towards Purdy and looked him straight in the eyes. A fear came over his whole body unlike anything he had ever felt. Purdy pulled out his gun and pointed it at the man staring at him.
"Get the fuck on the ground." Purdy said to him.
The man didn't obey and fell to his knees. Purdy stared in amazement. Usually people obey him when he's got his gun out. The other man turned his head ever so slightly.
"Don't touch him or else you'll be sorry." The man said.
Purdy pointed his gun at the other man standing now.
"Why?" Purdy asked. "Is he going to hurt me?"
The man didn't say anything back. Purdy took his handcuffs and walked towards the man on his knees. He placed his gun back in the holster and took the man arm and put it behind his back. The man on his knees quickly span around and put his whole arm threw Purdy stomach and right out of his back. Blood started to pour out of both sides as the man pulled his arm back out. The pain that Purdy was in was insurmountable. He just stood there a second before himself dropping to his knees. Now eye level with the man who just stuck his arm threw him, he looked him in the eyes, but the man had no eyes. They looked like they had been scooped out with an ice cream spoon.

With the last bit of life that Purdy had, he looked up at the man standing. The man turned around and looked down at Purdy. He had eyes, but they looked like they were glowing red.
"I told you not to touch him." The man said before picking up the .36 special and blowing his own brain out of his head.

Purdy could feel it coming, the cold sensation of death. He looked out at the horizon and swore that he saw Death riding seven flaming horses towards him. That was it. Purdy's heart couldn't go on anymore. He droped to the ground limp. The man kneeling down just stayed were he was until Death could take him away as well.
