Late one cold Winter night, Ali and her twin brother Jared went out for a midnight walk through Berkley Forest as they always do. As Ali's ebony hair as dark as night itself blew in the Winter wind she felt a presence like someone or something was watching them. All of a sudden there was a cracking noise, like someone steping on twigs. Ali was terrified and wanted to go home but Jared being the brave one shook it off and called Ali a baby for being so scared. Ali was mad at Jared even more than she was scared and she wanted to go home, but then she heard another crack noise and was petrified to be alone so she decided to just stay with Jared, who now was also terrified. Since Jared was too proud to show that he was scared sothey kept on walking.

"Jared what do you think that cracking noise was?" "Probably just squirrels." Said Jared. "I don't think it was squirrels." "Well it could of been a big, scaly skinned, twelve eyed..." "Stop, Stop!"Screamed Ali. "It could of had ten inch claws to scatch you into little bits.""Ok, Ok! I get it, it was just a squirrel."

A little while later as they were walking by the big oak tree, now a little less scared they heard the noice again but this time it was coupled with the sight of a gruesome slimy looking monster watching them from behind the massive oak tree. Jared and Ali were so terrified at that moment that they just stood motionless, when they finally comprehended the situation they took off screeming. The monster was following close behind them and they had almost reached the end of the forest when Ali slipped in some slush and fell on the ground and a branch holding snow fell on her and she was unable to free herself.Jared seeing what happened rushed over to help his sister, the monster was nearing and Jared had almost reached his sister whe he slipped on the same patch of slush and was as stuck in the same situation as Ali was. Now since both of them were stuck they started crying and trying to excape but it was to late the monster had reached them. By now all they could do was pray for their lives.

As the monster was just about to gobble them up something weird happened, it started laughing. Ali and Jared were very confused at this moment and then they saw it take off it's face, or that's what they thought because it turn's out that it was not an it after all, the monster was just their mom in an Halloween costume.

"Mom!""What are you doing!"Jared and Ali yelled in sink. "I was trying to teach you a lesson to stop going into the woods at night, because there are dangerous things in the forest." Said their mom. "You could of just told us that instead of scaring us." Said Jared. "Yeah, you scared us so bad we were praying for are lives.""I didn't think you would get it and go into the forest anyway." 'Will you promise me you won't go in the woods at night anymore?"

They did promise her that they would never again go into the forest, but they did go for one last time and all i'm going to say, is that they should of listened to there mother.
