The first time

The first time I saw you, I couldn’t figure out
clearly my feelings towards you. I was out
of my system, I was lost and I was locked
up in my mind. Friends at home mocked
me and siblings at school teased me about
you. And there was no way I could get out

of my melancholy; my suffering. And so, I
hated you; so much that I wished I could die
for you. I was sad but deeply in love with you
I truly loved you; so little that I planned to do

anything for only you. You did ask me to be
there for you and you enjoyed my company
but I guess you never loved me. I did not cry
for you; I cried for my love. You might ask why?

The last time I saw you, I easily figured out
your feelings towards me; there is no doubt
about it. You’re so mad at me for moving on
you’re blaming me now that my love’s gone

The next time I will see you, I won’t figure out
any feelings as I won’t have any anymore. Out
of my mind and heart, yes you are. You’re not
a Cancer and I’m not a Capricorn. This is what
I’ve realized. This is how it goes, I will not hate
or love you as I used to as I’ve accepted my fate.
