The time strips me down.

I cover my innocent flesh once more.

And my tears burn the sides of my cheeks like acid.

He again has left me with nothing but my body.

Cold, black, and soulless.

I watch as he walks away.

And I still feel his arms around my waist.

I have failed to convince him.

Of my innocence.

But my angel. She stands beside me.

And tells me to forget.

But how can I when I feel my innocence and unspoken words searing my insides.

His lingering hand just leaves mine.

And I turn to stone.

But I cry and hope

That he turns.

And brings me back to life.
