The link between human and nature cannot be easily subsided. The bond between a person’s spirit and the wild outdoors is unbreakable, and rather remarkable. It’s not often thought of aside from true transcendentalists of the day, but I find myself seeing less and less of those types of thinkers in today’s fast paced society. It is rather rare to see an average person of today’s world just slow down or stop and take an adventure in the great outdoors. To do such a thing is honorable and remarkable. The human spirit can never feel as high and as satisfied as it does when it is sharing the simple happiness that comes from pure beauty in the wild. Does one’s spirit not feel entirely lifted when the warmth of the sun’s rays hits one’s face? Does one not breathe better once immersed in the outdoors? Does one not enjoy wholeheartedly the noises of the wild? The simple beauty is too enlightening to pass up; for nature is the very cure for a broken spirit. In order to heal, one must take an adventure in the wild and embrace the simplicity of life.
