Stars twinkle on the sidewalk, so many fallen dreams...Hate this poem. Written years ago when I was struggling to write anything.

Stars twinkle on the sidewalk

So many fallen dreams

To be washed away down storm drains

With their ever silent screams

Hope hangs on telegraph poles

Tied in place by the strings of kites

While dreams are blown so far away

The result, endless plight

The haunting, howling wind cries

Stealing passion's fire

Lack of self content, your self contempt

Got you under the doctors knife

Demonic inspiration, negative persperation

Got you screaming, praying, pleading

To the creator of your nation

Stars twinke on the sidewalk

Like so many fallen dreams

If you look, yours are amonst them

Pick them up, dust them off, start again.
