I think this one is either about a personal struggle to either accept God or deny Him, or it's about accepting myself, not listening to others telling me who I should be. Maybe you could help.

In my hand I hold the Roses
Blackened from the fires of Hell
I'm the Pseudo-romantic Stranger
Behold the blood where I fell
I crossed upon the Necromancer
Asked him what the future holds
He took me to one side and said,
" Some secrets are better unknown "
So I called upon the Raven
I asked him did he know
He looked into my soul
And replied, " Fice ceann na fhitich "
In my tortured mind
The turmoil took it's toll
I begged and pleaded with the Valkyries
To take my battered soul
But they just looked and laughed
" Valhalla's not YOUR home "
So I called unto the Shaman
To give me strength to know the way
But he just smiled and looked
Then turned the other way
Lost in the maze of madness
Confused on the path of life
I turned to my only solution
I turned unto the Light
I cried out, " Lord , can you guide me?"
He took me by the hand
He walked me on the beaten path
Took me home to the Promised Land
So in my hand I hold the Roses
Blackened from the fires of Hell
They're my gift to remind me
Who I am and where I've been.
