Where Everything Goes

Poem by: ThepureLight7

Summary

This was part of a school project.

We were each given a famous poet to study, and one of the things we had to do was write a poem in their style.

I'll give you bonus points if you can guess the poet I'm mimicing in the comments.

(Please note that this is entirely my work, it just used the concepts, form, and style of my poet)

The time had past so quickly

It left alone my friends and foes

'Til all was left, ill and sickly

Tell me please, where everything goes

The only life were grass and trees

Where is the life? Who knows?

No beasts, no men, no birds, no bees

Tell me please, where everything goes

I walked to see the lonesome oak

The grass felt soft beneath my toes

I opened my mouth and quietly spoke

"Tell me please, where everything goes"

Then suddenly something felt different

A blinding mist arose

Then all appeared, all time I'd spent

I now know where everything goes
