Let the prosecutors claim today
That love is dead and time will waste away
A thousand passions reduced to ashes
The wealth of a studious empire swept from under its nose.
We once fought to thrive
While a beast would fight to survive
But we are closing in on the gap
And the fire is being extinguished.
Who is there left to provide the spark?
When the light is too faint to be seen in the dark?
Content turned into material
And now we are filling a pail.
