What Lies inside the Moon.

The room was cold and the sound of clicking keyboards filled the air. Nobody talked to anybody, we all just, worked. This was our daily lives at the NASA headquarters. Suddenly the large main screen, at the front of the room flickered, changing and showing the moon. We all stared at the screen, all was silent except for a few mutters of confusion.

Suddenly the sound of clacking footsteps rung.  A man in a black suit with tinted shades walked into the room. Looked around and muttered something. I could tell he wasn’t just talking to himself, but to the hidden microphone that lied in his collar. A few seconds after that, another man came into the room with what looked like two other men body guarding him.

The Man spoke loudly. “Everyone, Out!” , For a moment nobody moved, nobody knew how to react, “Move!”  Said the man, with more force and fierceness.  Everyone slowly stood up. Grabbing their coats and then muttering to their friends as they walked out the room. I, curious as to why this was happening, Decided to figure out what exactly was going on. So, instead I left the door cracked open before I left. Peeping in at what was inside.

The man stared at the moon on the large screen and for what seemed like an eternity watched, and waited. Nobody moved an inch in the room.  I kept watching curiously, until finally the man said. “Show it to me.” The screen flickered.  And the screen showed the other side of the moon,  and to my surprise there was a large crack in it.

I watched impatiently as the man stared at the screen.  Suddenly the crack began to grow in different spots. “Come on you son of a bitch.” Said the man.  “I dare you, wake up and come after earth. I’ll be waiting.”  I kept watching and then suddenly a large monstrous hand came out of the crack, grabbing its edges.  “Come on!” yelled the man, more violently as if wanting a reaction. “I said Come-“His voice was cut off by a large roar from the moon so loud it cracked the glass on the satellite and echoed down to earth. The man stood in shock. “Tatialuga, has been born…” He murmured to himself.  I stood confused watching the screen, ‘born? But the moon isn’t some kind of egg.. Is it?’ I thought to myself eye widened, staring at the screen as if it was all I could look at. I watched speechless, as slowly and progressively the moon was ripped apart by a Huge monster that pushed of the debris of what was once the moon towards earth.

‘This cant be happening…’ I jolted away from the door heading for the exit. I thought to myself,’ If its real, than I should be able to see a large monster falling from the sky right?’ I saw the exit door and shoved with all my force to open it. ‘I mean, this can’t be possi-‘… I stopped in my tracks, letting the sun beam on my face as I stood like a statue. Staring in the sky among with many other outside, at the giant figure crashing down from the sky. Right before it hit the ground I took a quick breath as if just now I began to resume living. BOOOOOMMM!!! All I saw was  a huge wall of dust carrying debris and heading straight towards me. There was nothing I could do as I was flung to my back on the ground and hit with pieces of metal and razor sharp sand.  Nearly knocked out from the hard hit to the ground I sat there and held my eyes closed. After what seemed like forever, the sand wave stopped and I slowly began to sit up and look at the destruction and debris. I looked down at my legs and arms. They were all cut up and bruised, I trembled and then began to look up.  Through all the sandy mist I could make out a giant figure, as the dust began to clear what I saw horrified me, S huge toothy grin overlooking everything it saw as it took slow steps around the curves of the earth taking quick crouches to destroy a city with one swipe of its hand and claws. I sat motionless, staring, at what once Lied inside the moon.
