From hopeless to homeless

It’s a dark place to be.

There is a sense of loneliness that just won’t leave you alone.

So much pain that you can’t describe.

The silence becomes loud.

The smallest of things will trigger something huge.

The voice in your head will turn against you.

That bottle of water turns into alcohol.

Money becomes a problem.

The bills seem to flow in faster.

The eviction note falls through the letter box.

The park bench becomes home.

A cardboard sign begging for money.

Winter comes around.

Cold nights seem colder than ever before.

Where does it all end?

A newspaper article homeless person found dead.
