Scene 3 - Fight

FADE IN:

EX. LONDON ALLEYWAY

NATHALIE is standing, waiting for someone

MILO enters

MILO

Hey.

NATHALIE is visibly relieved to see him but there is an

awkwardness between them.

NATHALIE

Hey. Thanks for coming.

MILO

It’s nothin’

You good?

NATHALIE

Trying to be.

Pause.

MILO

Got your message. Like, through your sister.

NATHALIE smiles sheepishly.

MILO

Look, what’s up? I ain’t got time for this - Junior sees me

talkin’ to you, I’ll be in the shit.

NATHALIE

YOU will be? Nah...

NATHALIE holds a hand up in MILO’s face. She pauses. Then steps

into MILO’s space.

NATHALIE

You got no idea. Everything I gotta put up with. Just to get by.

MILO

What? Don’t talk to me like that.

MILO turns and starts to leave.

NATHALIE

I’m sorry, Milo. Don’t go.

I need you.

MILO stops, turns and steps up to NATHALIE

MILO

Then why you with him for then?

NATHALIE

You know why. I’m scared.

I... I... can’t leave.

MILO

Alright.

Then whatchu ask me here for?

More money? You can’t of spent that 40 I gave you the other day.

NATHALIE

It’s gone.

MILO pauses, thinking what to do next.

MILO

I can’t help you then.

NATHALIE

I don’t want money. I just want out...

MILO

You got people you can go to. Go and see your sister. For real

this time.

NATHALIE

I can’t.

MILO

Course you can. Just go.

NATHALIE

Look, if Junior finds out he’ll kill me. And I mean good and cold.

JUNIOR enters. He is holding a mobile phone.

JUNIOR

Well, well, well.

(HE SPEAKS INTO THE PHONE)

You was right Jomo. I’ll come round after I’ve dealt with this.

JUNIOR hangs up and puts the phone away. MILO and NATHALIE are

nervous. There is silence. JUNIOR smiles politely.

JUNIOR

Please, do go on.

NATHALIE

Junior... it ain’t what it looks like.

JUNIOR

(THROUGH BARED TEETH TO NATHALIE)

Shut your hole.

JUNIOR turns to MILO. He holds his hands out, exaggerating.

JUNIOR

Wad up... bro?

MILO remains silent, standing his ground.

NATHALIE

We just bumped into each other... like, by accident.

JUNIOR

(TURNS ONLY HIS HEAD TO NATHALIE AND RAISES HIS HAND)

I told you to shut your face.

I’ll deal with you later.

MILO

Don’t talk to her like that.

JUNIOR

What?

MILO

Don’t talk like that. To her.

JUNIOR

Well... where did your bollocks just grow from?

JUNIOR steps towards MILO so they are face-to-face.

There is silence.

JUNIOR blows a kiss at MILO.

THEY FIGHT - ACTION CHOREOGRAPHED.

NEITHER MILO OR JUNIOR ‘DOMINATES’ THE FIGHT.

LAST IMAGE IS A KNIFE DRAWN FROM A POCKET BY AN INDISTINGUISHABLE

HAND. HOLD ON FLASH OF THE BLADE.
