RESURRECTION

Judged by the court of public opinion,

Arrested by the corporate Yes Men,

Scourged by the needs of my flesh,

Abandoned; fair weather friends scared into denial,

I am finally crucified on the cross of my hubris.

And only a handful knew or cared.

Unable to see anything but myself,

Unwilling to take any responsibility,

Unrelenting pain was the daily fare,

Untold suffering was my plight.

Unbelievable living death -

The tomb let in no light.

Suddenly, nay, miraculously came hope!

I came looking for the “Big Book”, but

It took the story of another’s journey

to roll back the stone, to free me from despair.

LOVE came to free me. Dare I trust it?

To say yes is to live. Yes, a resurrection!
