Demographics in a free world economy
And a philosophers view behind it

First let me start to say that this essay is non-judgemental in any way nor do I want to turn this work into any religious, ethical or moral conversation. I want to keep myself to plain, simple facts and the way they are influencing the world around us as we know. For the worse or the better I leave that one up to you. What concerns me the most is how we deal as human beings with all these changes around us and what prospect does it leaves us when we continue the same old path.
One says, to see where we are going, one must see where we come from. Now, I’m not interested in giving you a history lesson so I leave that one up to other interesting writers. I wanna start right here, where we are now, anno 2015. Already more than a decade past the new millennium. I believe we are living in interesting times where there is very much turbulence in the world going on, where one must face an impossible task to predict any possible outcomes in the next few decades or even the next few centuries.
There are so many challenges the world as a whole needs to face right now it might seem sometimes a doom scenario is really close. I’m not gonna give you a summary of every possible threat we already encounter or might encounter in the future. I assume you are a human being living in the 21st century with basic education and possibilities to watch the news channel. Otherwise I recommend you to start learning and reading.
In this essay I want to focus myself on the idea and the concept of demographics in a free world economy. Why do I choose this particularly subject amongst a large group of other world influencing factors? First of all because I find the subject myself very interesting which is one I can speak of from my personal experiences. Secondly, I truly believe it is a very important factor of how we will continue as the human race in the following decades and even further.
What makes the subject of demographics in a free world economy this interesting to me? Because I believe there is a worldwide revolution going on never seen before or never been close to this in human history before. Immigration and interracial relationships exists already since the dawn of ages. That’s nothing new. Boundaries are only made by people who protect their culture, their heritage, their nationality, their richness, and so on.
Ideologists like myself (sometimes), often dream of a world without boundaries. A world where there are no borders between countries, cultures, religion, skin-color, languages and even socio-economic groups. Funny thing is, the world used to be like that before humans laid their hands on it.
It’s in human nature to differentiate ourselves as much possible through every end that justifies the means. We see variation in nature with animals and plants. So we see variation within the human race. Is there a distinction between natural differentiation and artificial differentiation? Since it’s already in our nature to differentiate I guess not. The only thing that’s really different between us and the animal kingdom are the ways which are possible for us humans to differentiate. Since animals don’t know anything about art, music, or clothing they cannot differentiate through it. But we humans almost have like an endless list we can differentiate through. And these days it seems the list is growing rapidly and wider than ever seen before in the history of humankind. Why, we might ask ourselves. Where is it all leading us to? What is the ultimate goal of all this diversification? The answer might be as simple as surprising. There is no real goal in all of this. The goals are just small personal objectives from people on a large scale. Therefor their ain’t no real endgame which we all like to believe in sometimes. As if we are all building consciously together to a better and different world. I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that although it might seem this way. It’s a search of human destination. Every day we are looking for things to do different even if we are unaware of it. It’s also part of a strategy. By being differently we hope other people to look up to us. We hope they respect us for being different. Or we hope being different leads us to more advantages than being the grey mouse in the mass. It’s a sexual strategy to differentiate. To look like something anyone hasn’t seen before. A new show, a new act. To take people by surprise. So life is a bit or more like a Hollywood show. We are all actors putting our best show on to impress other people with our skills. The ones we are blessed with from mother nature and the ones we worked hard for many years. Why we do it? Because it just works! If you want to impress a girl as a man, you go to the gym and work hard to get that muscular torso other guys might only be dreaming of. You might play a music instrument you really like and become the best of your kind. Whatever it is you do, always strive to be the best. That’s life’s lesson in every sense. We are competition. We are opponents. When two friends want the same girl they are competing until the girl makes her pick or one of the two settles down. When two or more people apply for the same job they are very serious opponents until one gets selected. So it is with everything in life. Whether you hate it or love it depends on the way you can deal with competition. It’s all about success or failure in life. The more success we have in different areas of our life the more easier it becomes to deal with adverse wind or competition. The more failure we experience the more difficult it becomes to deal with even the slightest adversity or any competitor who gets in your way. Success brings us self-confidence and a feel good about ourselves when we walk through life. Failure brings us insecurity and negative thoughts which drag us down on our way. Failure is easy. You just stop trying. Success on the other hand is not given for free to anyone, not even with good genetics or a royal family heritage. Success is how we walk through life with the cards that are given to us. We might not always possess the best cards and sometimes it’s even better to stay out of a game but damn sure you got some cards that will be useful in your own way when you learn how to deal with them. Success and failure are an option in every situation you meet in life. Even when you tried hard, the best you could and you don’t get what you wanted, sure there will be something you got out of it even if it’s just a lesson. Playing fair even if life kicked you in the balls might be a way to success. Nobody wants to be on the losing end of the stick but neither does anyone like an unsporting person who can’t deal with his loss.
In every part of the world and in every country, people really want to believe that their country or their culture is the best. Although everyone likes to travel and discover new countries and new cultures. Even though we live in a high tech, civilized world, most people are still very protective when it comes to their own cultural heritage.  Like it is something sacred that cannot be compared or replaced by anything else. It is strange because I never had that feeling. I just felt a citizen of the earth. Maybe I was just ahead of my time. Or is it because I’m sharing a double nationality? Namely, Portuguese and Belgian. A mixture as they say. Although it ain’t anything new and there are even people out there who have like a quarter mix of this and another quarter of that or even an eight, for most people on this planet you are still something they can’t put anywhere in their logic. Or is it just us who have a difficult time placing ourselves between the borders of a country and culture? For me it was never a problem, until I grew up as a child and suddenly realised I have a funny back name which the other kids in class don’t have. Not even do they have different names, but they also sound very different. They don’t resemble or look like anything my name does. So you become a bit like a strange duck in the bite when you’re together with everyone else being native kids. Not even your own mom or your new stepdad resemble anything in their names that has to do with yours. That’s awkward but you’re just a kid so you don’t think too much about it. When you’re young, you really don’t like to be different than anyone else. Only when you get older you like to differentiate through culture, background, nationality and so on. That’s the moment these kind of things might give you a slight advantage in certain areas of life. It brings you a little “surplus”, like you got something interesting to say that no one else has. Suddenly you’re cool because you got a Latino background and everyone wants to know if you speak Portuguese very well and if you’re family lives here or still over there. Yeah, I guess it gives you some stories to tell and it can work as an attraction builder with girls. You know, the Latino thing?
Anyway, my point with all these is, we are placed in different demographics which we don’t have any control or influence about when we are born. We don’t choose our backgrounds, we don’t choose the colour of our skin, neither do we choose which country we are born in, the religion we grow up with or the cultural heritage we take with us as a child. All of these are factors out of our control and it’s only through self-awareness we can see right through them and put them in perspective. We are not labels this world or humanity has invented and put on us. We are more than the colour of our skin. We are more than a religion we didn’t have any choice about. We are more than the borders of a country we never invented. Only when we associate ourselves with all these aspects we embody them and we become exactly like the labels society puts on us each day. Therefor you will never know yourself. You will only think of yourself in the light of how society looks at you. You need to forget the person you are to discover the person you are. You need to forget about all the labels that this world has put on you to free yourself from the chains that hide your true personality. If you only look with the eyes you will be blinded forever. If you only hear with your ears you will be deaf till the end of times. To discover yourself your senses won’t help you in any way. They are misguiding you and they are delusional. What we really are can’t be placed in a demographic. Since words are just a description, they can’t touch the core. They don’t know who you really are. Neither do they know anyone else. We can only describe things with our eyes and our other senses. We want to control this world with words, labels and even judgements about good or wrong but what we really are or this place we’re living in is out of our rational mind.
