I look at my wife
as she begins to cry.
It's time for me to go
where the angels fly.

I've lived my life,
and I've travelled the land.
Come here, sweetheart,
and hold my hand.

I think about the better
days of my life;
my two special girls
and my wonderful wife.

I wish I could stay,
but that's not an option.
I can fee my life,
slipping away.

The pastor has come,
and read my last rights,
it's now that I can see
so many bright lights.

I've layed here beside you
not making a sound;
there are so many spirits
standing around.

Is this my punishment?
My inedible fate?
All the spirits
stand quietly and wait.

I see my dad,
and my old uncle Ted;
they'd see me again
is what they had said.

A spirit steps forward,
that I do not know,
softly he says
'It's time to go.'

'I love you, sweetheart,'
I say to my wife.
'Thank you for being
a part of my life.'

My breathing is heavy,
and begins to slow,
my time has come,
its now time to go.

Off in the corner,
my daughter cries,
I take one final breath,
and close my eyes.
