A poem I wrote for a friend that sadly passed away a few months back.

Our brother is dead, the flag has been raised
the killer will be hunted but still he will be praised,
people thrown in cages for breaking in the law
locked away behind the great steel door.
These are the troubles that plague many lives
selling drugs and guns to help their families survive,
you fuel us with ammunition, then put a bounty on our heads
now nobody cares if were alive or if we are dead.
I salute you my brother, now rest in the dirt
your troubles have diminished, you can no longer be hurt,
hold your heads high for the war shall continue
march as an immovable wave and let no-one resist you.
Some of you will be hurt, other will not live
people will always remember and they will never forgive,
these are the words that were once told to me,
to help me get through the fog of pain and misery.
