The lowly road of life is one that we all must take.

Blessed are we, the mortals of the earth,
for only we can catch the eyes of death.
Our doom is near and lingers like fog,
but our days are brighter than heaven's.
Low is the road of immortal existence,
an eternity is far too long to live.
Our blood may fall like the taxes on the land,
but soon our torment will end.
Angels must weap an ocean of tears,
forever haunted by the past.
Give thanks for your life, it is the only
you shall receive,
and why it is a gift from above.
