Tribute to video game history

Video Games

I remember the first video game I played,

“Pitfall” on our family’s Intellivision, man, the 80’s what a decade!

Shortly after, we got a Nintendo

“Super Mario Brothers” certainly was way better than Play-do!

Next came the Sega Genesis,

“Sonic the Hedgehog” was where it was at, who needs an Encyclopedia, that’s nonsense!

For a short while, we had a Super Nintendo,

“Chrono Trigger” was my favorite, a game with multiple endings? All I can say is whoa!

My best friend had a Nintendo sixty four

“Goldeneye” was our game of choice, best FPS of a generation, you really couldn’t ask for more!

Then came a Sega Saturn,

“Knights” is the game everybody played, all those amazing colors on screen, almost made the eyes burn!

After that we had a Sega Dreamcast,

“Crazy Taxi” was unbelievable; I mean man – what a blast!

I moved out on my own at got myself a computer,

“Everquest” was best when wasted, who knew games could be so much fun - even in a drunken stupor.

For Christmas one year my friends bought me an X-box,

Halo was the game we all played and exercise went out the window, looks like no more afternoon walks.

Now I have a Xbox three sixty

Too many awesome games to mention, the system is totally better than whistling Dixie
