(the candle running out of wick is symbolizing (sp?) a human running out of life)

To slit a wrist
To break her heart
They watch her world fall apart
The wall she built is crumbling
The ground she stands on’s rumbling
Her family’s moving farther, farther
Life is getting so much harder, harder
They watch her so desperately
Yet, not begging her to stop
Have they no notice of the pain they have brought?

She needs an intervention!
Hurry to it! Quick!
She needs an intervention
‘Fore the candle runs out of wick
