Hopefully this will inspire someone.Don't know how or why, but that's what I want to accomplish through this poem. Hmm. . . maybe it will show people that being there for someone can (even, I don't know, TALKING TO THEM just because) tremendously help. But, I cannot get my hopes too high. I already made that mistake once.

Any who, enjoy
Liz

P.s. If I sound bitter, it's becuase I actually am.

With such fury
The words tear
At her mind!

Traveling deep
To the depths
Of unknown
Territories

With such speed
The tears fall
From reddened eyes

Making streams
On her cheeks
Clearly visible
To all who see

With such love
He cradles her
In protective arms

Holding tight
And whispering
“Put down the knife”

With such fear
She drops her “toy”
And sobs despite
Herself

With such care
She realizes
That they lie

Stronger now
Hopeful as ever
He and she walk
Together
