A Bit Of Snow
A bit of snow
In a hemlock tree
Had built up
And fell on me.
I don't know why
It struck me so
But it was enough
To make me cold.
It was white
And full of flakes,
And gently tumbled
Without a break.
There was no one,
No squirrel or bird,
Just a batch of snow
And it felt good.
It filled my head,
And my jacket too,
It may be only snow,
But I've lost all rue.

Sun, November 16th, 2008 12:32amIt's smashing! I must admit to enjoying it beyond Dust of Snow. Except that last line....hmmm.... I think you need to re-think that last line.
Just awesome.

i know i've been trying to find a way to work it so it goes with the rhyming and still reflects the same feeling that was felt at the end of Dust Of Snow, i'm always editing stuff so if i come up with a good rework it will definitely get added.
