I get up much too early,

For a teenager to cope,

I groggily get ready for school,

Is it cancelled? Oh I hope.

I start to make up ways,

For the school to suddenly close,

Maybe it’ll burn down,

Or blow up? Who knows!

Maybe it’ll just fall,

Turning to rubble and dust,

I guess I’ll pretend to be sad,

But laugh? Oh yes I must!

We start the day too early,

When we can’t quite really care,

About algebra and insects,

But sleep? Oh we won’t dare!

And now the bus is pulling up,

To finally take me home,

It’s finally time to just relax,

Then back to school I’ll rome.
