Have you ever thought
When you’re having a bad day
About people in famine?
People in poverty?
People dying?
You say
Some other day
Some other time
Some other place
I’ll help.
Anyone can say that.
But what separates you from the rest
Is having the guts
Making the time
To help those who really need it.
To go without lunch
Isn’t to starve
Isn’t to die
To go without food for days on end
That’s a problem.
Before chucking away that food, those toys
Spare a thought for those less fortunate;
Those with families of tens
That don’t earn as much in a year
As you do in a week.
Just donate what you can:
Money
Clothes
Time.
In the third world,
A child dies every 3 seconds
You don't realise how easy you have it,
How lucky you are.
If you think you’re too small to make a difference
Try sleeping in the same bed as a mosquito.

Every second counts.
