Written for a poetry contest. The task was to tie both animal and emotion. Hopefully you can gather the animal spider and emotion fear/pity

Go stand in the corner
you'll see me in the outskirts
patiently waiting to keep
your fly residence at a low,
as long as you don't say my name
or scream that awful show.

I remember October 31st
seeing my brothers magnified
with those huge orange eyes
squashed then hung up on the wall.

I live in the place you do not
like to visit or speak of
just to keep out of your way
refugee to land once mine

I'd like to see you craft
such beauty around your surroundings
and make a life of it.

I'm afraid of spiders yet I have a strange attraction to them at the same time...

A lot of people have this feeling. They are peculiar as long as they're safe. You would happily spend a day at the zoo watching the varieties. But wouldn't go into the cage with those animals for the very same reason you spend time watching them :)
