Wishes

Wishing on stars,

Throwing pennies into fountains,

Blowing out flames that flicker on candles,

We all know that wishes that are made,

Are just whispers on the wind,

Or random thoughts that gets filed away in our brains,

Yet we still wish wishes come true,

For hope that one day ours will be picked,

Many believe that it will happen,

And their lives would be changed forever,

Wishes aren’t like lottery tickets,

There is a zero to one percent chance of one ever coming true,

It may just be luck that happens,

Or it might be that your wish got picked.
