Man has come such a long way, it's an evolutionary revolution! But just how intelligent are we? Are we really the smartest species on the planet? I will leave that for you to decide after you read this.

A rugged terrain marks the beginning,
Of a long journey.
Where to from here, no body knows.
Many twists and turns,
Deceptions and desires lie ahead.
A journey into the unknown,
Is a journey for discovery.
Every man, woman and child is on board.
All the bends make new paths,
Hope floats for a new beginning.
A place so isolated from man,
Is a place that beholds God's beauties.
A virgin landscape is nature in its truest form.
To many it has nothing,
To some it has everything.
A sense of guilt and anxiety,
Creeps slowly down my neck,
And tingles my spine.
A world of paranoia and desctruction surrounds me.
The perfect habitat,
That once was glorified by all of God's species,
Is slowly fading, dieing and disintegrating.
Like an eagle floating in the dark sky,
With its wings spread at full span.
I too look down at man's intelligence,
His evolvement through time.
Tear drops, like a waterfall, leave my eyes,
And splash into the grand ocean beneath.
I am saddened by the painful truth.
The truth that man has no limits for achieving his desires.
Greed, corruption, denial, deception and satisfaction,
The way of life is to achieve these at whatever cost.
Every day we celebrate our achievements.
Every day we destroy more of our Mother Earth.
Every day we invent new strategies for war.
Every day we claim that we are the most intelligent species.
Every day we are destroying each other and everything around us.
Like an eagle now flapping its wings,
And flying away into the distance,
I too run away into the horizon.
My soul escapes my body.
I come to realise that I too, am a part of the problem.
It is a problem that I cannot leave,
So I choose not to see it.
Life is better lived by being blinded from the truth.
It is the way we have been raised,
From the moment we left our mothers' wombs.
It is the way we are taught.
It is the way of the life of a human being...
