Lost Soul
by: Jessica Tucker

Her hair pulled back,
in a short pony tail,
clothes in a knapsack,
her ships about to sail.

Alone she travels,
to unknown places,
her world unravels,
she leaves no traces.

Hand in her pocket,
no  change to spare,
sunken eye sockets,
does no one care?

Her stomach grumbles,
in it's empty shell,
her feet stumble,
to the pavement, she fell.

No one was near,
with a hand to lend,
all weakness and fear,
til death, her end.
